This week has flown by. We've been putting in a lot of work contacting people and visiting members. A message that we have been sharing recently has been about the spirit and striving to have it with you at all times. I use the quote by our Prophet, President Nelson "in the coming days it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding, directing, comforting, and constant influence of the Holy Ghost." This quote really relates to the scripture in the Book of Mormon, 2 Nephi 26:11. "For the spirit of the Lord will not always strive with man. And when the Spirit ceaseth to strive with man then cometh speedy destruction, and this grieveth my soul." I think right now, you can really look out into the world and see those who have the spirit with them and those who don't. It's a huge difference. The Holy Ghost truly guides, comforts, testifies and more! I don't know what my life would be like without the spirit! I want to invite you all to try to recognize the spiritual promptings that you get throughout the week! Sometimes we are like a fish, swimming in the water, asking, "where's the water?" We might not always recognize the spirit, but we are literally swimming in it every day I think we all would be surprised to know how often it influences our daily decisions.
Something super sad that happened is that Hermana Macias was Emergency Transferred to the valley because two other sisters weren't getting along. We all were super sad to see her go! We might not see her again! She leaves in February so it just depends on where we all get transferred. Not going to lie, it has been rough not having her here! She is one of my best friends and I hope we see each other again!
It rained this week! Finally! It rained for about 20-30 minutes on Thursday which was really needed. It made literally every road supper muddy though.
Today for p-day the other sisters had to go to Show Low for interviews so we really had nothing to do. Our district leader, Elder Sandoval, called last night wondering what we were going to do and he suggested that we play board games. So today we got up and went shopping then pulled a table outside (elders and sisters can't be in the same apartment together) and got two space heaters and played games! Elder Sandoval and his companion Elder Rentz brought the games. We played Yahtzee, and by luck, I won. Then we played some rounds of Uno and then we played Monopoly. It ended up with me and Elder Sandoval behind the last two standing. He had a bunch of properties and I just had all the railroads and utilities, but I kept racking in all the money, so I barely beat him! He was so mad! Hahah....
Yeah that's basically it for this week! Oh yeah, we also painted a room in someone's house. That was pretty fun!
